It didn’t feel like 5 minutes since I had met with Helen and Nigel for their engagement session when it was time for their mid-week wedding at Sandon Church and Hall … I was so looking forward to Helen’s dress which I had been told was 50’s inspired, and I was NOT dissapointed ! Add to the day a Morgan, a Maserati (yes, I did have a spin in it LOL) and lots of fun and laughter and we had the perfect combination. Helen’s mother had been very ill prior to the wedding but to everyone’s delight she was able to make it on the day … we had an old photo of her from many years before sitting on a Morgan so of course we just had to copy the photo with Helen in place ! The guys made their (noisy, thanks to the tin cans haha) exit in blazing sunshine while guests saw them off on their honeymoon … something a little different.

So, a few from the day … enjoy !

Another wedding … man, July was just rammed full of beautiful brides, fabby grooms and great venues, and so it was time for Charlotte and Charles to get hitched !  The day started at Charles’ parents where Charlotte was getting ready with her girls and both set of parents … it was pretty manic but full of fun too !  We headed over to lovely Tettenhall for the church ceremony before finishing up at The Moat House for the reception.  Charlotte wore a beautiful vintage dress which had a charity connection (Brides by Appointment in Wellington, whcih has an affiliation with Barnardos, selling ex-display or last season dresses with all monies going to charity), which she had fitted to her tiny frame by a seamstress.  The shoes, maaaaaan, I’ll let the photo of those puppies speak for itself !

And so, a few from the day … enjoy !

I first met Alison with her sisters at the National Wedding Show last October … the family have 3 weddings this year with Alison first in line.  Alison & Dave tied the knot in the beautiful Congerstone Church before heading over to the Ramada in Newton Sonley for their reception.  There was much fun and laughter on the day with plenty of little ones running around and playing games, adding to the fun on the day.  The weather was typically English … rain and bright sunshine on the same day, but we didn’t really have to dodge too many showers, which was great !

And so, a few favourites from the day … enjoy …

Yes, you did read the title correctly … gotta love when people of the same name get together (ok, well almost LOL) … So, I recently had the pleasure of travelling to London to shoot the wedding of Simone and Simon.  I was joined by my friend and fellow photographer, Sanjay Jogia, who started out with the guys, while I headed to The House of Charles Worthington with Simone and her girls.  I honestly think it must have been the hottest day of the year with zero cloud cover and mid thirties heat … the wedding was held within the confines of the Inner Temple, at Temple Church, a historic building nestled behind Fleet Street.  Simon has an apartment within the temple and I was privileged to have been allowed to stay in one of the guest quarters.  The reception was held in the Inner Temple Hall, as you can see, a simply stunning room.

A few random facts … the photo below of Simone and her sister and friend was taken in the same room where Bridget Jones walks in on Darcy having a meeting with fellow barristers … a vast amount of Sherlock Holmes (the movie) was filmed here, as it is one of the rare places in London that doesn’t have modern lighting and has maintained a lot of original features … the church scenes in The Da Vinci Code were filmed in the Temple Church …

And so … a few from the day … enjoy !

Simon was dressed at: Ede & Ravenscroft of Chancery Lane. The dresser was Huw.

From time to time I get to work a lot with certain clients and this has certainly been the case with the Briggs family.  I shot the wedding last year, then baby Sophie came along and I was asked to do a family shoot with them … then the christening !  It was really great to see some of the friends and family again who had been at the wedding and everyone had a ball the whole time.  I have never been to a christening before, let alone cover one, so it was super interesting to see how it all went.  It was a beautiful ceremony and baby Sophie only got grizzly at the last drop of water, before conking out with the stress of the whole thing LOL

Thanks so much for having me, guys, I feel very privileged to have been a huge part of  your lives recently … good luck with the move to Cardiff !

I recently had the pleasure of shooting Amy’s maternity session … it wasn’t long before I was back to meet the result of that 9 months of effort !  We were able to schedule the shoot in advance as Amy had an elective caesarian.  Actually, I had to do 2 shoots as little Heston wasn’t feeling like being a model first time around LOL

Dad is a fireman, so they asked if I could incorporate his hat into the shoot … happy to oblige guys …

Many of you will remember my friend and fellow photographer, Paul Glavin, from previous shoots he did with me a couple of years ago before going out on his own. He and his wife Cassandra had been trying to start a family for a while, so it was with great delight that baby Haydn came along … Cassandra asked if I would take some early days shots of him (I realise Paul is a photographer, but it’s difficult to take shots of yourself LOL) … so I headed to their home in Sandhurst at the weekend to meet Haydn at just 5 days old. He is as cute as a button and a complete angel (ok, so far), LOVES to sleep, hates to be undressed and didn’t grizzle the whole time.

Congratulations to you both on the birth of this beautiful little boy … I can’t wait to see him (and you of course) again soon !

Some from the shoot … and yes, that IS an iPad and yes, there was iPad envy occurring haha …
