I recently joined Natalie, Ric and their friends and family for their beautiful wedding in Prestbury.  We had gorgeous sunshine pretty much all day, which always adds to the happy mood for everyone !  We started with Natalie and all her girls in the morning at home, where Natalie was being preened to perfection.  Her vintage inspired dress had a lovely black velvet detailing around the middle, complete with sparkly brooch and matching hair clip.  All very pretty and dainty with a hint of bling !  Natalie was running a little late, her perogative of course, so we rushed off to meet up with Ric at the church to await her arrival.  The church in Prestbury is a stunning old building, with big gold chandaliers and stone floors, a dream for any photographer.  When Natalie arrived she practically sprinted down the aisle, much to the amusement of guests when it was mentioned during the speeches lol.  The reception was held at Adlington Hunting Lodge, a cute little venue with even cuter gardens, such fun !

And so, a few from the day … enjoy !

Any of you who follow me on Facebook or Twitter will know I am yet again off to the Emerald Isle for a few days … I get to spend the first few days with my good friend and amazing photographer, Andrena, from LA … we’re gonna hang out, chill and sightsee, not necessarily in that order, before shooting a wedding next weekend in Ennis (in a castle, no less).  Exciting.

I’m also conscious that the blog is going to suffer, so I wanted to post something a little different and (ok, if I don’t say it maybe no-one else will) something a little awesome, to keep you going.

I am exhibiting at the National Wedding Show in October and, as always, I am getting a couple of new sample albums sorted … a new exclusive to me (exciting) Digital Art album is one of these … so of course I had to choose a couple of weddings and I thought Charlotte and Charle’s recent wedding would be a cool option for this one.

Choosing the front cover for a sample is critical, as it has to draw the viewer into the album itself.  I immediately thought of this shot of Charlotte …

It’s a fun shot and, as you can see, even straight out of camera, it’s pretty cook I think.  However, its just feels a little cluttered and busy, there’s a lot going on behind with the glass doors, handles, notices and so on … I needed this to look clean and uncluttered, I also wanted to go with a BW conversion … here is the result …

I think you’ll agree it looks much better, the focus is drawn into Charlotte rather than being caught up in the clutter behind her !  Pretty cool.

See you in a week or so … be good !

Susan and Tarv are getting married in Dundee in October, actually over the Halloween weekend … additionally they are having a HUGE Indian party in November, so I’m getting to spend quite a bit of time with them.  It’s truly a family affair this year, as I also covered Susan’s sister Alison’s engagement shoot and wedding recently … I’m expecting a Christmas invitation, now that I’m part of the family LOL

I met up with Susan and Tarv at the historic Shugborough Hall for their shoot, an absolutely stunning location and just right for photos, with gorgeous grounds and buildings, a perfect backdrop.  Tarv even practised his Magnum look, or was it Blue Steel … I’ll let you decide haha

A few from the shoot … see you soon guys !

It doesn’t seem like 5 minutes ago that I was shooting Rosie & Andrew’s engagement shoot before it was time to join them at their wedding at Four Oaks Methodist Church, followed by a large, glamorous reception at Alrewas Hayes.  They both got ready at Alrewas, with Rosie having hired in a celebrity hairdresser (Dar) and equally celebrity makeup artist (Armande) !  It was a true pamper session, complete with a touch up session right after the ceremony too !  Before meeting me, Rosie hated having her photo taken with a passion … I think you can see this fear was soon quelled and Rosie is keen to have some follow-up sessions … what a turnaround, love it !

The day was fun filled, the dancing was a mix of Indian (bouncin’ and rockin’) and Andrew’s favourite, Michael Jackson (equally rockin’) complete with a personal rendition  of a Michael Jackson classic, recorded by Andrew, on his best man’s phone during the speeches … hilarious LOL

And so, the wedding … enjoy !

I’ve known Yazmin’s mum, Dawn, since I was 15.  For anyone who knows me, you’ll know that’s a very long time !  I’ve been meaning to do a shoot with Yaz for a long time and a  couple of weeks ago I finally made it happen while I was in Northern Ireland for a visit.  In my opinion, I think she’s going to go on to be a model, and she should, she works and looks so great in front of the camera.  And here she is … what a cutie !

You may remember Kirsty and Richard from their London Engagement Shoot recently … it was soon time for the wedding at The Tythe Barn at Priston Mill in Bath (trust me, time really does fly).  I asked Chanelle to join me again for the wedding, as she had come along to the London shoot, so we had some girly fun as well !  Kirsty is an art teacher and it certainly showed in her little details dotted around the Barn, as well as in their individually designed wedding rings.  There were some nerves and tears in the morning, but that all soon turned to fun and laughter once the ceremony began and as the day unfolded.  We worked with a fantastic video company, Adam Huckle Films from Bristol, who made it even more fun on the creative shoot in the *ahem* corn field (ok, this turned out to be a wheat field and yes we did feel very silly about that LOL).

And so, a few from the day, including some of the many little details … enjoy !

Vicki and Ryan tied the knot at their local Methodist Church in Beckminster, Wolverhampton. We started the day with all the girls at The Mount Hotel (I used to stay there a lot in my corporate life, so I know it well) with all the excitement of the preps.  Their little daughter Chloe was a flower girl and looked totally cute! OK, she got a little bit upset during the service and had to have some mummy and daddy cuddles, but apart from that … LOL … Vicky works with deaf people and so they had interpreters during the service, which was really cool.

We headed back to The Mount for the reception, where Ryan was surprised with a Bond theme. Vicki had gone all out with table names corresponding to the relevant little bits and pieces scattered on the tables, including an oil covered Barbi !!

And so, a few from the day … enjoy !
