Carol and Peter are both doctors, working all hours and actually spending a lot of time apart with their conflicting schedules … so it came as no surprise to any of us that finding a suitable time to get together for an engagement session was so tough … we finally got together a couple of weeks before the wedding, so we incorporated the wedding pre meeting with a few shots of them and their beautiful little doggie.  While we were having a nice cuppa at the cafe, Carol spotted a heart in her tea !

I’m a little behind on blogging, so the wedding will be the next post … a few from the shoot …

Susan and Tarv are getting married in Dundee in October, actually over the Halloween weekend … additionally they are having a HUGE Indian party in November, so I’m getting to spend quite a bit of time with them.  It’s truly a family affair this year, as I also covered Susan’s sister Alison’s engagement shoot and wedding recently … I’m expecting a Christmas invitation, now that I’m part of the family LOL

I met up with Susan and Tarv at the historic Shugborough Hall for their shoot, an absolutely stunning location and just right for photos, with gorgeous grounds and buildings, a perfect backdrop.  Tarv even practised his Magnum look, or was it Blue Steel … I’ll let you decide haha

A few from the shoot … see you soon guys !

I met up with Helen & Nigel at one of their favourite haunts, Dorothy Clive Gardens, a beautiful little spot not far from home, with a coffee shop that sells the most yummy cakes ! We were meeting to discuss the final arrangements for their wedding (last Tuesday, actually) but managed to squeeze in some shooting too. I was delighted to hear about the plans including a 50′s inspired wedding dress, a Morgan and a Maserati … the wedding will be blogged soon, but in the meantime, here are a few from their engagement session.

It’s been a busy few weeks as you can imagine, with both weddings and engagement sessions … I recently met up with Alison and Dave who are getting married this weekend in Nuneaton before heading to the Ramada for their reception. I am shooting Alison’s sister’s wedding (2 part) later this year, so I think by the end of the year I will feel like a long lost relative LOL

We headed over to Trentham Gardens for the shoot … it was a particularly hot, sunny day and so while Dave queued for us to get in, Alison and I grabbed some ice creams … yum !

A few from the shoot … see you this weekend !

Karen and Matt had their engagement session at home in their beautiful garden … I have to say I was a little envious of their obvious passion for gardening (I’m rubbish LOL) … they are also a shy couple and so this was preferred to going somewhere with lots of people around. They are getting married this weekend at Somerford Hall, a stunning venue, so fingers crossed the weather plays ball for us too !

My final engagement session from last weekend was actually up in Gloucestershire, at Cowley Manor, where Andrew had proposed to Rosie. It is a stunning venue with glorious grounds, beautiful vistas, a couple of lakes and a waterall (Andrew proposed at the top of this … how romantic). As with all my brides I was again admiring Rosie’s ring and asked Andrew if he had it made … the reply has me chuckling to this day … “oh no, it’s just a Tiffany’s ring!” LOL. Andrew and Rosie are getting married in August at Alrewas Hayes, another of my fave venues … with a couple of hundred guests it should be a good blast !

A few from the shoot … as always, I hope you enjoy them …

My second London shoot was with Kirsty & Richard who are getting married in August in Bath … this time, I asked my friend Chanelle Segerius-Bruce to come along for some shooting and lunch (it’s always great to catch up with my photographer friends when I am down that way !) … Richard is a designer and Kirsty is an art teacher, so as creatives they were up for something in and around the sights and maybe a museum or two. The particular Saturday we chose was the same day as the Queen’s changing of the Guard at the Palace, so we were a little restricted in terms of places to shoot, but again we opted for St Pauls, Millenium, a FAB lunch at The Tate with a little shooting there too, then back to Mayfair and Tiffany’s this time (my favourite window-shopping store LOL).

A few for you … enjoy !
