Introducing Baby Heston { Cuteness! }

17 August 2010

I recently had the pleasure of shooting Amy’s maternity session … it wasn’t long before I was back to meet the result of that 9 months of effort !  We were able to schedule the shoot in advance as Amy had an elective caesarian.  Actually, I had to do 2 shoots as little Heston wasn’t feeling like being a model first time around LOL

Dad is a fireman, so they asked if I could incorporate his hat into the shoot … happy to oblige guys …

A few from the shoot … enjoy !

Introducing Baby Haydn { Cuteness! }

12 August 2010

Many of you will remember my friend and fellow photographer, Paul Glavin, from previous shoots he did with me a couple of years ago before going out on his own. He and his wife Cassandra had been trying to start a family for a while, so it was with great delight that baby Haydn came along … Cassandra asked if I would take some early days shots of him (I realise Paul is a photographer, but it’s difficult to take shots of yourself LOL) … so I headed to their home in Sandhurst at the weekend to meet Haydn at just 5 days old. He is as cute as a button and a complete angel (ok, so far), LOVES to sleep, hates to be undressed and didn’t grizzle the whole time.

Congratulations to you both on the birth of this beautiful little boy … I can’t wait to see him (and you of course) again soon !

Some from the shoot … and yes, that IS an iPad and yes, there was iPad envy occurring haha …

Ring Shot { During & After! }

10 August 2010

Just a little fun post while I pile up the queue of weddings and other shoots ready to blog for you … it’s been the busiest summer EVER for me this year and so you’ll all have to be patient with me !!

I was shooting a wedding in Bath at Priston Mill this last weekend and had my good friend Chanelle Segerius Bruce along (she shot the engagement shoot in London with me for the couple who were getting married, so it was cool to have some continuation) … she snagged this shot of me …

The resulting shot is here … let me tell you something, it is a lot more difficult to balance very heavy wedding rings on flying saucers than you would think LOL

More from this and a load of other weddings soon … I promise !

Helen & Nigel { Engaged! }

2 August 2010

I met up with Helen & Nigel at one of their favourite haunts, Dorothy Clive Gardens, a beautiful little spot not far from home, with a coffee shop that sells the most yummy cakes ! We were meeting to discuss the final arrangements for their wedding (last Tuesday, actually) but managed to squeeze in some shooting too. I was delighted to hear about the plans including a 50’s inspired wedding dress, a Morgan and a Maserati … the wedding will be blogged soon, but in the meantime, here are a few from their engagement session.

Karen & Matt { Married! } Somerford Hall

30 July 2010

Karen and Matt had their engagement session with me recently in their beautiful garden at home in Penkridge (linkie) … I admit I was extremely envious of their green-fingered efforts ! Well, it was soon time for us to meet up at Somerford Hall for their vintage inspired wedding. After the cracking sunshine of their engagement session the weather for the wedding was very different … but as I say to all my brides, if it rains, it’s only water and we can work around it! This did nothing to dampen the spirits of the day and I even managed to get everyone out in a light shower for the large group shot, right before dinner (thanks, everyone!).

A few favourites from the day …

Jemma & Ben { Married! } Sandon Hall, Staffordshire

28 July 2010

You may remember Jemma and Ben from their recent Engagement Session at Stafford Castle (linkie) … well it wasn’t too long before we were gathering for their wedding at Sandon Church and Hall. As the guys were getting ready on route to where the girls were, I was able to drop in and take some shots with them … man, it was chaos ! I ended up ironing shirts and generally helping with button holes and calming a very stressed out groom (who is normally very laid back LOL) … but soon it was time for them to board the party bus and head off to the church, leaving me to go and see my bride and her girls. They were a lot more organised and chilled, ok champagne helps with that ! The ceremony was lovely, followed by a fun-filled reception up at Sandon Hall, the weather was very kind to us on the day and everyone had an absolute blast.

And so, a few favourites from the day … enjoy !

Yvonne & David { Married! } Langley Castle, Newcastle Upon Tyne

22 July 2010

Yvonne and David probably have the biggest long distance relationship I’ve ever encountered … David lives and works as a commercial airline pilot in Dubai, while Yvonne lives in Coatbridge in Scotland ! Just wow ! So of course getting together for their wedding was extra special … at least they got to see each other LOL

The whole day was spent at Langley Castle, a beautiful venue nestled in the countryside to the west of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. David decided on kilts for the men as a nod to Yvonne’s heritage (and he suited it too) while Yvonne went for a beautiful tight fitting, flared spangly number. The whole day was filled with fun and laughter, a total blast !

A few favourites from the day …

Best bathroom doorway ever !
