It didn’t seem any time at all following their engagement shoot, that I was making my way up to Scotland to shoot their wedding.  The journey took me just over 7 hours in gale force winds and torrential rain … and let’s not forget 2 broken ribs (yes, really, didn’t know at this point, but the PAIN !).  Thankfully everyone had been forewarned and so it was air kisses all round, with no touching LOL.

Of course, having already shot Susan’s sister Ali’s engagement shoot and wedding, and now Susan’s, I had gotten to know everyone quite well, I love it when I get booked multiple times and get to see everyone again.  This was also an opportunity to meet up with a long-standing facebook friend, Chris Crawford, who came along to help me out and shoot a little on the day, too.  Logistics had made it impossible for us to meet til then, so that was good fun.  And very necessary, what with me being a tad delicate and all.

The day was crisp (read, freezing) but clear and dry which was certainly appreciated.  Susan did have a gorgeous little fur shawl which came in handy during our portrait session.  The guys looked fab in their kilts and the whiskey (which seemed to be the theme of the day) warmed them up before the ceremony.

There was such love between these two all day, evident in the stolen glances and goofy grins at each other, with a healthy smattering of loving banter.  The speeches were fun-filled, with the outbreak of the traditional wedding song (friends of Susan’s parents write the lyrics specific to each bride, this is then sung to the tune of Wild Rover) getting everyone to their feet and singing along (what a great tradition !).

And so, enough blurb from me … on to the photos … as always, I hope you love them as much as I loved taking them …

Susan and Tarv had their Indian celebration reception a couple of weeks later, so that blog post is next.  I just wanted to add that I am thrilled these guys have agreed to be the “wedding” models for my upcoming workshop in London in February.
